The Ultimate List of XL (3”+ Wide) Butt Plugs

The quest for XL butt plugs made with safe materials isn’t an easy one. Once you start looking for plugs that are 3” wide or more, the options get quite limited—you can spend hours scouring the web to basically end up empty-handed. I know, because I’ve been there.

The majority of extra-large toys are made with cheap, toxic materials that don’t belong in your body. And lots of the companies out there making XL dildos just don’t offer much in the way of butt plugs.

But if you look hard enough, you can find some really cool companies making some really cool (and really big!) butt plugs. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’re in the right place. This list should shortcut your search and point you in the right direction—and I’ll keep it updated as I find more.

(Please let me know if you find something that should be added, so this resource can become more and more useful!)

XL Butt Plugs: the list

Right now, this list includes more than 10 XL butt plugs, all made from bodysafe material. A few notes:

  • To provide a quicker frame of reference for comparison, I converted any circumference measurements to diameter. This isn’t an entirely accurate width measurement as some of these plugs are ovals, but it does provide a starting point for your research!
  • All butt plugs on this list are 3”+ wide.
  • I haven’t tried all of these plugs.
  • This list will grow over time as I find more to add.

Tantus Tex

Tantus Tex
  • Price: $69.99
  • Diameter: 3”
  • Length: 4.5”
  • Material: Silicone

The Tantus Tex might be my favorite butt plug. It’s on the firmer side, and its shape really provides a satisfying rush as it slides in. It’s also a great value: most large toys come in at $100 or more, but the Tex is just $70. I own this plug and have used it extensively—you can see my full review here.

SquarePeg Splitter

SquarePeg Splitter
  • Price: $179
  • Diameter: 4.45” (multiple smaller sizes available!)
  • Length: 6.5”
  • Material: Silicone

The SquarePeg Splitter comes in multiple sizes, ranging from 1.5” in diameter all the way to 4.5”. I have the L version of this plug—it’s massive (over 4” wide), it’s soft, and I love it. I really have to work up to it, but it’s always worth it when I do. The Splitter is one definitely worth looking into.

SquarePeg Monster Egg Plug

SquarePeg Monster
  • Price: $159
  • Diameter: 3.5”
  • Length: 7.5”
  • Material: Silicone

Based on Squarepeg’s popular Egg Plug design, The Monster is just that: a monster. It’s over 7” long—which is much longer than many of the other options in this list—and a full 3.5” wide. Despite its size, the Monster’s shape makes it approachable.

SquarePeg Blunt Plug, Large

SquarePeg Blunt Plug
  • Price: $129
  • Diameter: 3”
  • Length: 6”
  • Material: Silicone

The large Blunt Plug is another option from SquarePeg in the 3”+ wide category. It has a long, gentle taper that eases you downward. This, along with SquarePeg’s supersoft silicone, mean that this plug would likely make for a great entry point into XL toys. Although I don’t have experience with this particular plug, it looks like it would be one of the more comfortable options to wear for longer periods of time.

SquarePeg Butt Buster

Square Peg Butt Buster
  • Price: $179
  • Diameter: 3.58”
  • Length: 7”
  • Material: Silicone

This is a large, smooth plug with a narrow base that fits between the cheeks. That design consideration alone makes the Butt Buster a really attractive option.

Oxballs Pighole

Oxballs Pighole
  • Price: $98
  • Diameter: 3.25” (also available in smaller sizes)
  • Length: 6.75”
  • Material: Silicone

The Oxballs Pighole is definitely a unique take on the traditional butt plug. The largest version of this plug, their XXL, is over 3” wide and 6” long, and completely hollow. When it’s inserted, it leaves you completely open. (I’m sure you can imagine the possibilities, but for one this means that smaller fists, other toys, etc. can “fuck” you while you’re held open wide. Dang.)

If you’re turned on by the idea of being completely open, this is the toy for you. And even if you’re not, it’s such a unique toy that it’s worth having—and Oxballs does offer a “stopper plug” for a small additional charge that fits inside this one and plugs the hole.

I own this toy in the largest size and I love it. It’s super fun to have around, even if it’s not my go-to.

Oxballs FF Plug

Oxballs FF plug
  • Price: $92
  • Diameter: 3.18”
  • Length: 5.5”
  • Material: Silicone

Another cool design from Oxballs. This one is perfect for people who’d like to imagine the feeling of a full fist inside them—or who want to train for that exact experience. The FF plug II (the larger of two available sizes) is modeled after a medium-sized balled up hand.

Oxballs Rosebud Spec-U Plug

Oxballs Rosebud Spec-U Plug
  • Price: $88
  • Diameter: 3.5”
  • Length: 4.5”
  • Material: Silicone

This is a different sort of plug—it’s split into several wedges that spring outward. This means you can compress them a bit to get it inside, then feel them expand outward once it’s inserted. Fully opened, the Spec-U Plug is about 3.5” wide.

If you’re looking for something other than a standard-order butt plug, be sure to check this one out!

Bad Dragon Egg Plug, XL

Bad Dragon Egg Plug
  • Price: $165
  • Diameter: 4.2”
  • Length: 6.4”
  • Material: Silicone

Bad Dragon makes a ton of giant dildos, but this is one of the only butt plugs they currently offer. It comes in several different sizes; both the L and the XL are over 3 inches wide. This plug also comes in many different color options.

Exotic Erotics Emu Egg

Exotic Erotics Emu Egg
Source: Exotic Erotics
  • Price: $130
  • Diameter: 3.82”
  • Length: 5”
  • Material: Silicone

I own this toy, and it’s a lot of fun. While not a traditional plug, the incorporation of the retrieval loop allows it to be safely used anally. It’s a massive toy—and depending on the silicone you choose, it can be on the firmer side. That, along with the fact that it has no base, can make it a challenge to get this egg in, even for the very experienced. I suggest going with the “soft” option.

I’ll probably put up a full review of this toy eventually. In the meantime, you can leave any questions about it in the comments below and I’ll do my best to answer.

Passion Glass Classic Glass Butt Plug

Passion Glass 3
  • Price: $300 and up, depending on options
  • Diameter: 3”
  • Length: 6”
  • Material: Glass

Most glass plugs are definitely on the small side, but Passion Glass has an option available at the 3” wide mark. They also offer some customization options—things like adding shaft texture—so you have a bit of freedom to design the plug you’d like.

It’s important to note that glass, of course, has no give—so while a 3” silicone butt plug may be easy for you, a glass plug of that size may present a new challenge.

I haven’t been able to find any other makers offering large glass plugs. If you know of one—or if you’re a maker yourself—be sure to let me know and I’ll add you to this list.

Also, I bet that many of the smaller/indie shops making glass toys would be willing to take custom requests if you’re looking for something specific.

OrganoToy Ball Plug, L

Large Organotoy Ball Plug
  • Price: $79.96
  • Diameter: 4.33” (Other sizes available)
  • Length: Up to 10.5”, based on version
  • Material: Silicone

Organotoy offers a wide selection of extra-large sex toys, including several butt plugs. Their standard-length ball plug (in large) begins with a 3 ½” wide ball, followed by an even larger 4 ⅓” wide ball. The ball plug is also available in a long version, which adds another ball.

If you’re not quite ready for a butt plug this large, you’re in luck. It’s available in several sizes. All of them are huge, but the medium comes in at just under 4” in diameter, and the small comes in at a bit over 3”—significantly more approachable than the large.

While I haven’t ordered from Organotoy myself, this plug seems to be a good value for a neat design.

OrganoToy Keep-O 80

Organotoy Keep-O 80
  • Price: $64.96
  • Diameter: 3.19”
  • Material: Silicone

The Keep-O 80 is another XL plug from Organotoy. It’s specifically designed to provide an intense stretch for the outer sphincter—the shaft is only slightly slimmer than the head.

Pipedream Anal Fantasy Mega Silicone Plug

mega
  • Price: $49.99
  • Diameter: 3”
  • Length: 5″
  • Material: Silicone

The Pipedream Anal Fantasy Mega Plug is one of the least expensive options on this list. Besides the value, what stands out about this plug is the thin neck. Many people find this more comfortable for longer-term wear. It also has a T-base instead of a circle, another design consideration that can make for more comfort during extended sessions.

Servant Sex Toys Splitter

Servant Sex Toys Splitter XL butt plug
  • Price: $150
  • Diameter: 4.45” (Smaller sizes available as well)
  • Length: 8″
  • Material: Silicone

The Splitter plug from Canada-based Servant Sex Toys is huge. In size large, it has about 8″ of insertable length—making it one of the longest plugs on the list. And it’s extremely wide as well. Very few silicone plugs are larger than 4″ in diameter, but the Splitter exceeds that mark easily.  I haven’t had an opportunity to use any toys from this maker, but it looks like they make a high-quality product. If you’re searching for a toy with a more traditional butt-plug shape (but really big) be sure to check this one out.

Fetish Zone Ballistic Penetrator

Ballistic_RedTip_3Sizes
  • Price: $99.95
  • Diameter: 3.54” (Smaller sizes available as well)
  • Length: 7.65″
  • Material: Silicone

The Ballistic Penetrator from Fetish Zone is another long toy. This is at least partially because of thin neck, which is longer than many other plugs. Some other things that stand out about this toy include the T-base, a pointy tip, and some texturing on the sides.

Silicone Nozzles SPD3.0

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
  • Price: $44
  • Diameter: 3”
  • Length: 5.5″
  • Material: Silicone

The SPD3.0 is a 3-inch wide plug with an almost-triangular shape. It has a pointy tip and a fairly long neck. While I have never tried this plug, I’m not sure I love this design which seems less than ergonomic. However, any discomfort that the pointy tip and sharp transition to the neck might cause is likely mitigated by the soft silicone material which will compress and form to your body. At just $44, this is definitely a budget-friendly silicone option.

Cock Locker Ace of Spades XL Inflatable Butt Plug

inflatable
  • Price: $54.99
  • Diameter: 6″+ when inflated
  • Length: 8″
  • Material: Latex

Inflatable butt plugs can be a ton of fun. I own this one, so I know it’s no exception. There are definitely some quirks to using it—getting it inserted can be tricky, for one—but at the end of the day it is a really fun, unique toy that stands out. Inflatables can do things other toys can’t. If you’re building out a kit of XL butt plugs, I recommend getting this toy. It won’t be your go-to, but it’s only $50, and it will open up a whole different sort of fun.

Wrapping up

There are still far more XL butt plugs being made with unsafe materials than there are being made with nontoxic, bodysafe options like silicone and glass.

The reality is that XL plugs made with safe materials represents a niche within a niche. And yet, there are some awesome companies making these toys, as evidenced by the list above. I hope that it helped you discover some new toys and show you what’s out there.

One thought on “The Ultimate List of XL (3”+ Wide) Butt Plugs

  1. I’ve tried Oxballs and SquarePeg 3″ silicone plugs, though not the models on you list, and I’ve tried some other 3″ or better silicone plugs. My favorite large silicone plug is on you list. It’s the Silicon Nozzles SPD 3.0 in Extra Soft silicone, the softest silicone grade that Silicon Nozzles sells. You should get a SPD 3.0 in Extra Soft. I’ve got four of them, two of them drilled out for enema use.

As you noted, the shape of the SPD 3.0, (pointy tip and very abrupt transition from max to min diameter), looks like it might be painful, and in Firm grade silicone it might be. However, in Silicon Nozzle’s Extra Soft silicone, nothing is painful, including the SPD 3.0. It goes in and comes out painlessly as you suspected.

Inserting and removing a super soft, squishy, and stretchy 3-inch butt plug is a little tricky. You can’t sit on it or push it in by the base to insert it. I have to use four fingers around the bottom of the body of my SPD 3.0 Extra Soft to insert it. Removal by the base also does not work well. The neck stretches so much you think it will snap off. I’ve found that it’s easier to bear down on it with your pelvic floor muscles and poop it out.

Here are examples of how comfortable I’ve found the SPD 3.0 in Extra Soft silicone to be:
    1. When I’m plugged with one, it’s easy to forget its inside me, sometimes for hours at a time..
    2. I’ve slept all night plugged countless times.
    3. If I fast for a day or two, completely clean out my colon with several gallon-bag enemas, and continue fasting, then I can plug up and stay plugged with my SPD 3.0 for days with only one or two brief plug removals per day just long enough for gas release, and cleaning, re-lubing, and reinserting my plug. My record is four days plugged 99% of the time, but I could go longer than that if I wanted to try to break my record.
    4. I’ve comfortably and enjoyably cycled on a road bike (with a narrow racing saddle) for 50 miles while plugged..

Butt plugs can be arousing sexually, but I’ve found the The SPD 3.0 in Extra Soft silicone is much more so::
    1. It’s so squishy soft that it compresses inside me on insertion, and it feels almost alive inside me, always pushing forcefully and pleasurably out against my rectal walls as it tries to expand back to 3″ inside me.
    2. I can’t help reflexively squeezing back against the expanding plug, which produces exciting rectal sensations.
    3. Soon I’m rhythmically squeezing the plug, or holding a hard squeeze, and my juices literally start to flow.
    4. The base of the plug is so comfortable and conforms so closely to the shape of my butt that putting a lot of focused pressure on it, such as straddling the arm of a chair or riding a bike, is highly pleasurable.
    5. I love ridding my bike over those rumble strips sometimes found between bike lanes and car lanes.
    6. Sex (except for my wife pegging me) is always better when plugged with a Extra Soft SPD 3.0!
    5. I love to plug up and go to a public beach wearing only a borderline-legal Brazilian bikini swimsuit that barely conceals my butt plug’s base and covers less than 1/3 of my butt.
    6. When I plug up at the beach and feel the sun on my bare buns, rhythmically squeezing my plug drives me mad!.
    7. I love to plug up, put on skintight Lycra workout shorts, and go to Planet Fitness to work out..

One big advantage of the SPD 3.0 Extra Soft silicone plug over my other 3″ silicone plugs is the extraordinary flexibility of its base and how perfectly it conforms to the shape of my butt. The plug’s base is invisible through skintight clothing, underwear, and swimwear (except for narrow thongs.) Even when I wear skintight Lycra workout shorts with a central rear seam, I can’t see any hint of my plug’s base even when I pull the center seam tightly up into my butt crack. So, for both comfort and plug concealment, I much prefer a thin round base of super soft silicone to a thick T-bar base. .
